Vanovertveld as Chief Commercial & Operations Officer (CCO/COO) starting in January 2022. In this newly created role Peter reports directly to Wieland Sommer, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Smart Reporting. As CCO/COO Peter is responsible for developing and executing the marketing and sales strategy, and leading the expansion into new markets as well as new clinical disciplines. Moreover he leads the departments Customer Services, Finance, and Human Resources with a particular focus on entering a new chapter in the organization’s history building on its growth journey to date introducing matrix management and leveraging synergies. With Peter, Smart Reporting gains an expert in the field of pharmaceuticals and Healthcare and completes the Management to expand its leading market position as a medical data provider in the coming years.

Many years of experience in pharmaceutical arena and other regulated industries
For the last 22 years, Peter worked across leaders in the pharmaceutical and biotech arena. At Baxter and its spin-off Baxalta he held country, regional, and global leadership roles working in Belgium, Switzerland, and the US. Most recently, Peter led the Market Access, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), Pricing, and Policy departments at Vifor Pharma, a Swiss Stock Exchange-listed pharma company, where his responsibilities included introducing commercial agreements excellence as well as commercial dashboard management. Earlier in his career, he worked in corporate strategy consulting focusing on highly regulated industries such as healthcare, energy, and gambling.
